Public submissions on the proposed land exchange between Fletcher Residential Ltd and Auckland Council have overwhelmingly opposed the swap. From a total of 233 submissions received, 222 are against the land exchange and 200 submissions prefer alternative development options, including the RRA Concept Plan.
The high degree of public opposition is largely due to concerns with Fletcher’s preferred master plan for the quarry and the perceived unequal benefits Fletcher would receive from the land exchange.
