The Environment Court began hearing an appeal today on Fletcher’s
Proposed Private Plan Change 372. As reported in the Central Leader, “the
lines are drawn in a legal stoush over a very large hole in the ground.”
Richard Reid has prepared evidence for two community groups from Three Kings who appealed the approval of PC372. Richard’s evidence draws upon the analysis his practice prepared for Puketapapa Local Board. Richard’s evidence concluded that a lower fill level and poorly planned residential development will not integrate with the surrounding neighbourhood or outstanding volcanic landscape.
The Government and Housing New Zealand have joined Fletchers, Auckland Council and Auckland Transport in supporting PC372.
