Richard Reid & Associates have been engaged by the Auckland Harbour Bridge Pathway Trust to provide a landscape and visual effects assessment of the SkyPath project.
SkyPath is a shared walking and cycling facility that will be attached to the eastern side of the Auckland Harbour Bridge. The new structure will open the bridge to walking and cycling across the Waitemata Harbour for the first time since the bridge was built in 1959.
The project is currently in the developed design stage. The project's degree of sensitive fit with the bridge and surrounding environment will form a key part of the landscape and visual assessment. See www.skypath.org.nz for more details.
